I am looking for a snaffle style bit, pref loose ring, which is made from sweet iron, and rather than a french link or lozenge, has a couple of links or joins in it. Any suggestions?
I started out with a thick hollow loose ring snaffle, moved to the same, only with a french link, realised that they were too thick as he has quite a small mouth, tried a sweet iron snaffle which was quite thin, which he seemed to like the sweet iron, but didn't like the single joint. He really like to play with links and joints and having them seems to stop him trying to get his tongue over the bit.
I had a tom thum, which is coppery with three loose rings in the centre, across the joint and using only the snaffle ring, he seemed happy in this, but I would like something similar that is dressage legal....
Does any ofthis make sense? Thank you
