We are having a problem with horse flies at the moment

so i was wondering if anybody has had any experience with these hoods (like snuggy hood sweet itch head)? either snuggy hood brand or alternatives.
i have tried various other mask and sprays/gels which keeps all the other flies away but not the beasty horse flies! poor Bob got bitten on his muzzle and came in lookign like you would when you have had your mouth nummed at the dentist

Hmm, not used personally but I know someone with a full snuggy hoods sweetitch body. Her horse has sweetitch and it does seem to help with that, but is rather warm in the sun.

For a horse that doesn't suffer from sweetitch, I'm not sure that the sweetitch head would be that much different to a decent flymask

Tbh, I have horses wearing both normal fly rugs, and one who wears a sweet itch hoody rug, and neither prevent horse flies (clegs) biting through them.
I've also been bitten through clothing.
