Can anyone recommend a good sweet-itch rug for a shetland pony. Currently have my big horse is a rambo sweet-itch rug and its fab but they don't appear to do them in 4ft which is what Angus requires!

Not looking to spend a vast sum of money as he is a companion pony and never wear rugs normally.

Thanks in advance

Can highly recommend the sweet itch rug from Dinky Rugs. I've got a 3'9 for my mini which fits perfectly. It has a belly flap and generous neck, also very tough material (my boy likes to test to destruction), only thing is I purchased extra surcingle rubber bands as the fittings have a habit of coming undone if they're boisterous. think they're about £40 and come in good range of small sizes.

I've also had IV horse mini fly rugs which are good but more of a fly rug than sweet itch, they're cheaper but not quite so robust.

I have a dinky fly rug too .had to get a larger size than was recommended. Still seems a bit tight around the chest but fits perfect in length

IV Horse do a range of fly and mesh type rugs right down to 2'9". I know they also will make to order, as they made some special fly rugs for a friend of mine with Clydesdales recently.
