Is anyone else still using a sweet-itch hoody/rug on theirs? Apparently the forecast for night-time temperatures for the near future are low, with the expectation of frost?
Mine is clipped and goes in at night; and last night I did leave off his sweet-itch hoody, hoping for the best. I did take the precuation of putting some "Killitch" on his mane and neck areas though, just to be safe. He seems OK this morning, no visible signs of itching, but I have seen midges around in the daytime in this recent very mild weather, even though there's been a strong east wind, if you're not actually in the eye of the wind, I have seen midges, so have played safe. Its gone much colder now, dunno if we're having frost yet.
Anyone out there ditched the sweet itch rugs yet? When do you intend to?
