Not sure whats going on but i grew sweet peas from seed - packets said highly scented.Great i thought and imagined the scene ahead in summer picking them and enjoying the scent. That scene is now here but not as i expected.
Very disappointed to expect that lovely scent but no - no scent at all.
I can taste and smell everything perfectly but its not the same to have a lovely bunch of sweet peas with no perfume.
Pretty but thats all.

Really disappointing for you, I think I’d drop an email to the seed supplier! But bless them they look gorgeous (and I love your little Beswick foal).

How disappointing about no scent. I would let seed suppliers know about it. They do look lovely. I have only 3 flowers on mine so far, so am eagerly waiting for the rest to arrive.

Thanks- Seed packets thrown away months ago so no idea who the company is.You should have more flowers by now - nip the twiddly curly shoots off daily.Let me know if yours have scent.

Are they annuals or perennials? We have a few perennials dotted around that come up each year and are unscented. The annuals which are sown early each year have a huge fragrance.

Annuals - they die late autumn and dont grow again - you have to re sow seeds in spring.

Well the sun brought ours along really quickly so had 8 to pick just now, and even that tiny bunch smells gorgeous. I bought little plants to grow on, so haven't had all the seed growing effort either.
Sorry you've missed out with yours GBN.
