My mare’s sweet itch is driving me mad - I’ve been treating with KillItch which has helped but hasn’t stopped her running completely. I also wash her mane and tail in a soothing tea tree oil shampoo at least once per week which does help. She is wearing a fly rug with a very long tail flap which seems to have helped the tail rubbing but she is still rubbing her mane. I left the fly rug off when it was very hot as she was getting too hot in it which hasn’t helped I don’t think. 😫 any suggestions for any other creams that are good?

Many thanks 😊

Have you tried feeding nicotinamide it's vitamin B3 it's meant to help stop the itch I feed it to Louis in the summer it definitely helps, it's the ingredient in cavalesse for sweet itch but I buy 100g from ebay and make my own it's so much cheaper you just dilute it in water and feed 20mls a day.
