Hello! I once again need some advice about my Irish Draught. His latest ailment is that on Thursday morning I went down to the yard in the morning and my horse has a swelling about his knee. He was turned out on Tuesday, worked on Wednesday with the intention of work then turnout on Thursday. This swelling is about 3 inches long and sticks out about 1 cm. There is no heat in the swelling and my horse is sound. I didn't ride or turn him out and I have been applying ice cooling gel on the area. I have called my vet hoping that he would call me back but he hasn't as of yet. Of course if the swelling is still there on Monday I will be getting the vet out. I have been attempting to search the internet for some clues, the only thing it comes close to is carpitis but i'm not sure. My horse is 6 years old.
