swelling after bandaging legs

I bandaged my horses legs the other day when I took them off his legs were swollen, I have since turned him out but then after the swelling has gone down some clear fluid has been coming out of both legs. The front of his legs have thickened slightly (they were not like this before). Im kicking myself for putting bandages on in the first place. Does this sound like bowed tendons? If so what do I do now and whats the prognosis. Hes sound on both legs.

Ive got problems with my horses legs at the moment his digital extensor tendon has come up again, his leg was slightly swollen the day before yesterday, bandaged to stop swelling then tonight when i removed it his tendon came up

wondering if it could be the same

have you tried cold hosing the legs?
unless you really put the bandages on silly tight it might not be to do with the bandages.
have you had the vet?

Were his legs dry when you bandaged them? Also did you use padding underneath? How tight were they bandaged and how long in hours were they on? Just asking because if the legs are thickened at the front the skin could have been compromised due to the pressure, in which case you can get a kind of mud fever looking effect where the bandages have been. I would be very suspicious that this is the case if there is leakage from the skin. In worst cases the hair and top layer of the skin will come away and you'll need the vet and antibiotics. Not wanting to scare you but I have seen the front of a pony's hind legs slough away completely to an extent where the tendons/ligaments were exposed. The pony survived luckily, but it was bad bandaging that caused it entirely. (not saying your bandaging was bad, just an example)

it doesn't sound like bowed tendons, they bow at the back, very obviously outwards.
if it was stable bandages, were they reasonably loose but firm (i.e. easily get a finger or two inside the gamgee?).
i'd talk to the vet maybe.
it sounds a bit like lymphangitis, tbh, but i'm not sure.

i thinl it sounds like lymphangitis, specially the fluid.
