Swelling from insect bite? Help

Hi,
Just after some advice before I call the vet. My horse came in today with two v large swellings:- one on his sheath the other at the top inside of his hind leg in between them both looks like a big bite of some sort just the size of the swellings has worried me! Anyone had anything similar is the vet needed or will these go down on there own once bite healed? I thought see how they r tomorro. Bite is all cleaned but was a bit ooozy!
Any help/advice! I have pics but not sure how to upload if anyone can tell me?

Had the same problem the horse had swelling from some kind of fly bites on shoulders and between front legs,called out the vet and she gave us some Danilon to treat the inflamation, used one morning and night for two days and half morning and night for 2 days , she also gave us some Coppers fly repellent , which is really good ,the swelling went down in two days and horse is now fine .
 
Just noticed your name my friend used to own a horse with the name Razamataz is it the name of your horse ? I hope you do not mind me asking.

Hoping for an improvement when I go up today someone checking him this morning then I will be up after work!
