swelling on leg

ok everyone i need to tap your brains, my 5 yo holstein has a slight swelling on his right fore above the fetlock between the cannon bone and tendon, it only appears when he is worked and disappears on days off, he has not lameness at all and no pain or heat ???? maybe its just one of those things????
