Just wanted to say that these rugs are fantastic quality for money - I bought the 100g turnout as I wanted something that was warmer than a no-fill (I think they can get very cold in a no-fill) and am very pleased with the rug!

My horse would be between a 6-6 and 6-9, generally a 6-6 in horseware and a 6-9 in cheaper brands, eg. derby house but a 6-6 in swish fits him perfectly!

I think they are great rugs - not many places where you can get a 1200 denier turnout rug with 100g for £27! :)

I have the 50g fill light turnout & have been pleased with it so far. I notice the no-fill ones on ebay say they're not guaranteed as fully waterproof which is a shame as the outer fabric is a high denier. Does anyone on here have any experience of their leaking?

Most no-fill rugs are only shower-proof, I have an amigo no-fill which I throw ontop of a stable rug to make waterproof, my old one (about 4 years old) is super waterproof and never leaks, whereas the newer ones (bought last year) is only able to withstand a drizzle ;)

HI

I was going to buy when until I got to checkout - 12.99 for "North of Scotland" postage (instead of the standard £6.99). We are just outside Glasgow hardly a rural extreme! Shame as they looked a bargain - prob didnt need it anyway;)

I just bought from them and havent used them yet but they fit my lot perfect.
I bought the 50g 1200d for both of mine (so they have matching rugs lol) for only £25!!! plus the 150g stable rug for only £15 :O and also a red exercise sheet with a fleece lining which is lush. So far very happy with it all :)

I can safely say that these rugs are very waterproof, they have been tested enormously today as the water that fell today was unreal! about 6 hours of non-stop torrential rain. And my boy was dry :D

Well I bought a 100g turnout and it didn't keep my horse dry :( I thought the fit looked ok but all the water had gone down through the shoulder part. It is good quality so it is a real shame and it is also hard to find 100g rugs! Stupidly i missed the 14 day returns date so am going to have to sell it on ebay or preloved, doh!

Well mine had her new 100g turnout on last night throughout torrential wind, rain and just horrid storms. She was still dry this morning and didn't want to come in despite the awful weather. However I'm not keen on the fit. She is only a slim TB but I don't really think it's deep enough through the shoulder and it's very snug in the length. She's a 6'3" in horseware and Premier Equine, but this Swish rug is quite small and I would always buy a size bigger than normal if I were to buy another one. But at the end of the day - it kept her dry in rain that really was like a monsoon, and that's the important thing.

has anyone else had any experience of these rugs with tb or welsh d's? i have a med build tb and a finer type section d that need new rugs and have seen them on ebay. thanks

I think they've had a problem with that rug. I've copied this from their web site.......

*This rug is shower proof only and may not be fully waterproof in heavy rain, because of this we have considerably reduced the price.*

Please note this problem does not effect any of our other turnouts.

I've got a couple of their turnouts, I've had them for 2 years, they waterproof, stay put and don't rub, I'm very pleased with them.

I paid £35 for my 5'9" 50g fill at Belton & I would say £25 is very good value. I bought it for my 15hh cob, but the nylon lining makes her sweat, so am now using it on my son's 14hh pony that normally would take a 5'6 rug. Buying a size up would make sense.

I thought that the 1200 denier outer would be better for repelling rain, as most lightweight rugs have a 600 denier outer.

Andrew Gould recommened Swish to me. I had a lesson at his yard (early this year), saw his horses in the fields with the TO on, and I asked him what rugs he used. He said they were great, and his staff really like them because they stay on the horses well and don't slip.
(I guess he should recommend them as I think he is sponsored by them!)

Mine is 3/4tb 1/4ID but is built like more tb in stature, and they fit fine :)

Infact, rug has been on him for a few days and hasn't moved excellent fit and I don't find them snug at all, in fact if I was criticsing anything it would be that the shoulders are perhaps a little too generous! But that would be nitpicking!

It is deep enough on him and he is 17h :)

They fit my really fine tb and my chunkier welsh x tb really well. So far they havent leaked but they make the tb sweat which is werid cos she is usually really sensitive and shivers if anything but I think it has more to do with the fact her coat is really thick already.

The fit is very very similar to amigo- they go quite high up the neck and are quite small for their size so if your horse only just squeezes into 5ft9, then get 6ft etc.
