Hi !

I am coming to the UK with 2 horses, I ll ride from Switzerland to Ireland and back, for charity, please visit my website for more information, http://suisseirlande.com

Can you help me? I need informations about bridleways or routes I can use with horses, Have you some maps to lend me ??? or anything that coulb ne useful for preparing my itinerary!

I ll cross the Sea with the ferry boat, from CALAIS to DOVER, someone knows a good place near DOVER where I could stay for 1-2days to rest with my horses???

Wow, sounds great! Sorry, I don't know the Dover area, but I hope it goes really well. You could contact this company for help going through Wales (if you are going that way)

They do trail rides through Wales and so they know lots of farms etc where you can stay. They are really friendly!

Try not to be on the west side of Scotland between May and September! If that's impossible, there are various products you can get that might help. I find Avon Skin So Soft bath oil, diluted with water, is quite effective for horse and rider (www.AvonShop.co.uk).

Midges are most active early morning and early evening so try and ride during the middle of the day.
