My mare has always been in a Neue Schule neue Verbindend loose ring snaffle. I did try a Nathe last year but she hated it.

She’s very fleshy in the mouth with a low palet. I don’t yank her mouth about but I’m not very stable in the contact and she very much notices every time. Slight drop of my outside rein and she raises her head. According to the instructor she isn't very forgiving. I’m aware we need lessons and we are having them.

Considering buying A Neule Schule tranz angled lozenge baucher (hanging cheek) to see if a more stable bit suits her and being more stable might help my irregular contact/keep the bit centre in her mouth.

I did borrow one yesterday just hacked in walk, she really foamed on it and felt like she liked it.

Any H&H knowledgeable on bits, does that sound a good option? Thank you in advance

Sounds like a good bit to try, they do tend to suit horses who like a very stable set up.

I used one years ago on a busy little mare and it worked well.
