My three year old came in today with both her back legs upto her hocks very swollen and full of heat. Vet been and gave her antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. She has a slight temperature but no signs of any cuts. Very odd with both legs so swollen and vet didn't know what could have caused it.

Anyone else had the same problem? Tyia

Not sure if this helps at all but my Welsh section D gets swollen back legs when shes eaten too much rich grass. It occasionally makes her lame but a night off the grass is usually enough to bring them back down.

My welsh D gets swollen hocks full of fluid if she stands in too much she has no pain with it tho more exercise soon shifts it

Thx both, never heard of that before. I have been injecting her each day with anti-biotics and she has been on anti-inflams too but swelling still not gone, will ring vet tomorrow again. Have kept her out as didn't want them to swell more with her standing. Will mention the grass thing but she had temp too which points towards an infection, just odd in both legs
