Swollen Cheek

Any ideas my mare has a swollen cheek cant seem to work out what it is. It is obviously fluid as if her head collar leans against it, it leaves a indentation. She doesnt mind you touching it etc will give it a couple of days and no improvement will call out the vet. She is happy in every way with no sign of pain.

Grass glands maybe, very common at this time of year. If this is the case and she is in at night they normally go down a bit overnight

possibly parotid salivery gland as mother hen says. Is it behind the jaw bone (mandible)?
if it is the cheeks she may well be packing feed due to sharp points on her teeth

Thanks for all help. She had her teeth done about five months ago so dont think its that but could be.

that is surprising. My boy for the last two days has swollen cheeks, the right more than the left. Not behind jaw, but on side of jaw bone. he is eating normally and teeth have been done.
What are grass glands? Are they behind the jaw?

How is the cheek now? Mine once got bitten on his cheek and had a huge swelling there - vet expected it to pop and be full of blood but it didn't and went down without any probs in a few days.
