4 year old horse has swollen cheeks - think hamster. Also an infected lymph node under/between jaw bones. Swab taken and not strangles. 5 day course of Trims antibiotic has dried up lymph node but cheeks more swollen. Teeth x-rayed and no sign of infection. Antibiotic changed as one bacteria present resistant to previous antibiotics.
Anyone seen this before? Any ideas what it could be?
