My WBx has been roughed off for around 2 months now, to recuperate after tendon injury. He is kept rugged as and when necessary and fed daily on his Formula 4 Feet supplement and if he is lean ish then some Outshine. I check him every day and today I noticed his coronet bands were noticeably swollen on his front hooves. No heat, no lameness. Is this him growing better hoof out now? Or something else to panic about!? My thinking is that he is growing better quality bigger hooves out, as he is now barefoot. He has also been on this hoof pellet for a round 3 - 4 months.
