Hiyaa!
My horse has had quite bad mud fever due to all this rain and poor drainage! He is now in a new field and has a stable and the mud fever is clearing up. However his back fetlock has become quite swollen. Its not hot or anything and he is sound on it. It is more puffy in the morning when he has been in his stable all night.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this? or could tell me what they think might be going on?

Also any advice on mud fever greatfully recieved! Bracing myself for the winter months!

Tally ho!

Pig oil/sulphur is good to keep mud away in Winter. The leg filling is probably due to being stood in the stable all night. Does it go down as your horse is ridden or turned out?
