Hi

Yesterday morning Star came out of her box with a swollen fetlock. I pressed my finger into it and it left a dent so is obviously fluid. There was no heat or soreness and she is sound. I decided to turn her out to see if she would walk it off and sure enough it was back to normal by the evening. This morning it was swollen again, also again no pain, heat, scabs etc so I have turned her out again.

Anyone have any ideas?

are u sure it's not just normal fluid-filled legs after being stabled? i know loads of horses that get that - though usually in either both hind or both front legs (maybe she stands more on one?!)? like u said, this would be fluid-filled and painless, and would go after being walked off in the field and cause no partiuclar lameness, though she might look a bit stiff. can be rectified by bandaging overnight, leaving her out instead of in, or using magents wraps etc. I might be wrong, but that's what it sounds like to me! good luck!!
