Swollen glands....

My friends horse keeps getting swollen glands when turned out in the field. Its not everyday so she's struggling to show the vet for them to diagnose. when he does get it though his glands, cheeks and underside of his head swells. His breathing is fine and he isnt off at all. Any ideas what could be causing this? He was fine this morning then was like this when she brought him in this evening. He is in the same field he has been in all summer. No access to hedges or anything unusual.

Its probably just grass glands, they seem to swell more when its colder or windy, nothing to worry about, but can look fairly odd.

Mine is currently doing exactly the same, goes out fine and then comes back in all swollen. The horse in the next paddock came in exactly the same yesterday as well today. I've been told its to do with the grass this time of year :-/

thanks will tell her not to worry! One of mine has come in the same too tonight, im on a different yard though. Least its nothing to worry about
