Swollen hind felock

Looking for ideas. Madam has a swollen hind fetlock and just slightly above it. The YM phoned this morning to tell me it was quite large. She was turned out and it has gone down a bit. There is no heat and she's not lame. Any ideas. The only thing is she has a tiny (I mean tiny) scab at the bottom of her pastern.

It may be that she caught her leg (which has now scabbed) but infection perhaps managed to get in? resulting in the swelling, Id still get in touch with a vet purely for peace of mind. Hope she gets better soon

Beacon had a similar swelling and there was a tiny tiny bit of heat. Being what I thought was over cautious I called the vet, boy I'm glad I did. he had a minor annular ligament strain which needed box rest
