For anyone who read my last post,I had the vet out yesterday who has diagnosed an infection,he gave her an injection of antibiotics as a boost to get it kick started for her and an injection of bute, and shes on bute twice a day till Friday as he wants to know if shes lame or worse if she is he wants to come back out and see her again,to diagnose further.Shes also on Norodine a sachet a day for 10 days starting from today. He also gave me Furicine an antibiotic ointment on the wound. He did state that he was chuffed to pieces at how the wound has healed and everything i have done so far is correct and absolutely fine,he also wants her turned out for a couple of hours maximum just so she doesnt get stressed and keep her moving, but at the same time doesnt want her hareing around the field as this could do more damage.Bless her heart, she was so well behaved and an absolute star even with all the proding and poking around her leg even though she was clearly sore.Oh and wound is on the front of her cannon bone not her hock,i will post some picturse so everyone can see the process of healing, vet reckons shes going to have a very small scar and ive definetly done well as must have applied correct amount of pressure as no proud flesh. So all in all im chuffed with what i have done so far and how shes done,we have both just got to battle this infection!!!Thanks for reading if you got this far.x
