swollen horse update

coming home - looks like it got treatment in the nick of time, it was a very, very close thing, and it turned the corner after vet's gave it 24hours......hope the owner has finally learnt the hard way.....poor, poor horse. Thought some of you would like to know

Thanks for letting us know, I thought about that horse the other day and wondered if he'd made it through.

I think it was cellulitis...heard that secondhand though!

cellulitis is a very similar condition to lymphangitis, but never known it to effect the whole body.. suppose its possible.
If its that then I feel for the horse, must of been agony.

read the gas gangrene bit lou- it mentions anaerobic cellulitis, I think I found it when looking in the previous thread that cellulitis was synonymous to another term, I have to admit to having to look up cellulitis a bit more

just had a look and it wont let me read the 931 page but I go the gist. Had a look at some more cellulitis info and it can effect any part of the body (obviously as they have cells lol) but rarely does, usually the legs. Poor bloody horse.

Ive seen the pain these type on conditions put horses through and Its vicious, and vile.
