Horse came in last night with swollen hind leg trotted into yard fine wasn't until she was in stable I noticed it was swollen ... Stable bandages on and gave her a danilon same again this mornin gave her another danilon still no lameness phone vet said to keep her in stable he's at yard 2moro didn't sound overly concerned but I'm anxious anything I can do I've ice packed it twice this morning was going to do same again later tonight left put bandages back on

Cold hosing, at least 20 mins twice a day, preferably 4x. And I'd walk in hand. Personally, I wouldn't have used danilon. Firstly cos it can disguise what's wrong if there's just a bit of swelling. And secondly, if you take away v mild discomfort, they're more likely to forget its sore & prat in that situation. Is the swelling even all round or centered on one side? And where abouts on the leg?

I did think that but it was really to see if it would take swelling away ... It's all up her leg from her fetlock ... Vet has said to keep her stabled she's quite a good girl Aslong as she has food she's happy x

Hi personally I wouldn't give her anymore danilon today in case it masks any clues for the vet visit tomorrow. Sounds as though it could just be some filling perhaps from something that she has eaten, mine had this a few weeks ago. Hope it clears quickly :)

Thanks hope she's ok vets out today legs still swollen only thing is her legs do tend to fill up when she's been standing in so hard to see its not got any bigger suppose that's a good thing
