my horse came in with a knock on his leg sunday, about 1cm long, not lame but this morning his leg is very swollen at the top around the top part of leg and knee, i have bathed it and hosed it down, what else can i do , the cut is not sore and is very clean , thank you,

I may be wrong but it could be infected if it is just a small cut and its become very swollen. Thats what i would presume anyway without seeing it.
I think your doing the right thing though by hosing it and keeping it clean, however if it doesn't go down in the next few days or it gradually gets worst and he becomes lame i'd be inclined to call the vet.

As the owner of a horse that has recurrent bouts of lymphangitis this would set alarm bells ringing with me. If it were my horse I would get the Vet out if it doesn't improve quickly with the treatment you are giving it. If it is lymphangitis he will need antibiotics asap.
