Vet says its a reaction to something but what we don't know!
Basically, my friends cob was brought in from the field this morning with a pupleish nose with what looks like a large fly bite. He was quite uncomfortable with it but has settled with bute.
This evening it looks as though he's been 'tangoed'! either that or attempted to fake tan himself, his nose and bottom lip is very orange??
My friend has had the vet out who says its just a reaction, wouldn't give steroids because the horse is prone to laminitis but has left a cream.
It just looks so strange and has had the whole yard baffled, especially with the orange colouration! Anybody seen this and/or got to the bottom of the cause?
