Hi All, anybody had/have a ned with a swollen thyroid?? My boy is 31 and has had a lump in his throat near side for about 6 years. Vet has always kept an eye on, reckons its the thyroid. It is now the size of a tennis ball! Vet says to biopsy will possibly cause more problems than not, due to what and where it is, and even if we do, I'm not operating on my old boy, as much as I never want to lose him, it wouldnt be fair. Dont get me wrong, his breathing is totally unaffected and he eats like a piglet
he does not look 31! At some point I expect it to get big enough to cause problems and I will then evaluate the situation. Just wondered if anybody had dealt with similar. Thanks.
