Went to the yard and noticed little Eddie Shetland his upper eyelid was slightly swollen I lifted the lids and there is no debris inside he doesn't seem bothered and is his usual self it has been a windy day here too. Is there anything I can do to reduce swellin. I know it may be worse in the morning ? I had a prod and he didn't seem bothered ?

If he doesn't seem in pain and it's not an actual eye injury I would leave well alone in terms of putting stuff on it. He may just have rubbed on his leg or flies etc. If you are at a yard you could ask if they will take a peek at bedtime check.

His actual eye is fine its about 1cm above his eye just his lid is a bit swollen its not bloodshot or anything and he let me touch it its open but slightly more closed then usual could be a bite I guess al check again first thing but I don't think its too serious I just feel bad when he gets little injuries poor unicorn

He thinks he is a massive hard 17hh stallion bless he was giving us lots of cuddles and kisses as usual so can't be that bad hes always getting himself hurt probably walked into a bush or something cause he is so small
