Hi,

Been down the stables, put the boys out as normal my horse stops for a wee every time he is turned out, put them both out in the field, went a mucked out, haynets the usual jobs, then I went and got my boy back in to ride and found his willy swollen like this picture.

I have cleaned it with warm water, it was rather dirty, some large clumps coming off

Is there anything else I should do? He seems fine in himself, eating drinking etc

Not sure if I should call the vet out or see what its like later on today and go from there?

I'd leave it till tomorrow - it will probably have gone down. One of mine has started getting this - until he was about 14 he never needed cleaning but now if I leave it too long he gets swelling like this. The first time it happened I was really worried but although it didn't seem all that dirty, cleaning made all the difference. Now I just clean him regularly (has required quite a lot of training to achieve this with no tantrums!) and he is fine.

Thank you! Was proper worried...
I will leave it until the morning, my boy loves it, it's about the longest time he will stand on the yard without moving!
I will see what it's like tonight/tomorrow and go from there.
