We have two qualifications for the South West Pony Association championships at David Broome centre .
Does any one know if its just a big money making excercise or would there be a point to going.
I know with some things they hand out qualifications to everyone just to get them to go and make some money out of them

I take it you went to knowlestone yesterday!
We went last year, and like you qualified for something up the David broome centre.
I got as for as becoming a SWPA member, but then decided it was going to cost far to much money, and for what gain?

I have competed at the champs before, i acctually became reserve supreme so was chuffed, but at the same time it doesnt get you any further, unless you become a PUK member and go to the Ponies UK championship/ qualifier thingy.

We didnt go for that because it was in Bedofrdshire - so far away - and i thought it was all to much money.

But then again i do beleive with showing its all a waste of money, at least with show jumping or dressage it a build up towards something big and you get a good name or a good outcome if your any cop, but with showing you have to constantly prove yourself and unless you suck up to the judges and kiss ass you wont get recognised!!

sorry to take over your post with my rant, but i produced some nice youngsters and undersaddles for nothing. Even when i tried to sell the horses, because for all the work you do they still dont think your worth it.

Thanks for replies , it has made my mind up not to bother going . Want her to be a little dressage pony any way so will save my money for that
