Sycamore seedlings EVERYWHERE!! Don't they normally germinate in autrumn? Maybe it was too dry then.
I've just been setting up one of my summer paddocks which has been left all winter - there are HUNDREDS of the bl00dy things. And I have a horse who has to have restricted grazing - is there an easy way to get rid of the seedlings other than picking every one by hand? Anyone know?

Jill, you either need to pull by hand now, or as Janet says, top them. If topping then leave for at least 3 weeks before putting piggy equines on there.
I've noticed a few coming through in my diet bare paddocks, but easy enough to pull up, interesting that the 2 x minis are not touching them despite dieting there overnight.

My garden is absolutely chock full of them. Never seen them this bad. I can mow them in the lawn but am having to hand pick them out of the borders.

Thank goodness no sycamore trees near the horses.
