Anyone seen any sycamore seedlings or seeds this year?
We have sycamore trees nearby but have seen hardly any seeds. Does this mean it's safe this year?

I have a sycamore tree in my summer paddock and I haven't noticed any seedlings as of yet. Although have grazed this field for over a year now and not had any issues with having the tree out there.

I've moved yards this year and we have no trees. Although the trees are lovely it is a huge relief to have no acorns and no sycamores! Helps me sleep at night!

I've moved my boys to a new field away from the sycamore trees, but back along in the autumn I did hear people saying there were no sycamore helicopters, I would still keep an eye out. I am also afraid that maybe it's cyclical, last year there were loads, maybe it will be quiet for a couple of years and then suddenly there will be loads again. I don't know, it's just a thought of mine.

I have found about five or six seedlings, last year it was ten thousand, but we have cut down 25 small trees and have picked up hundreds of helicopters from the ones that are left ( stupid things have preservation orders on them). I am expecting some to grow as soon as it warms up, it was much warmer last year so maybe they are just delayed?

^^ this. Saw masses of seeds last year and was dreading them all popping up.

l have been picking plenty up from the summer grazing but there doesn't seem to be as many as last year. l remember due to the high winds l found seedling in the middle of the field so upto now not seen them in a vast area.
Not taking any chances so will do a regular patrol. My landowner has mentioned about chopping them down so maybe after this year l won't have to worry so much

We are seeing a few seedlings popping up now, pulling them up as we see them. There are also maple seedlings popping up. Are these dangerous?
