HI
I would be grateful for any recommendations for someone to help me with my young(ish) horse. I have my own land but no school just weather dependent grass area. I currently ride bitless and use some clicker training but most important is someone who is patient and understanding of horse behaviour. My confidence has been a bit dented by a recent fall so looking for some support. I am based near Sidmouth.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions x

Thank you - Trudi has been out to me and is really good but due to the distance it isn’t practical for her to come regularly which I’m ideally looking for. May call on her again though if can’t find anyone more local.

If you are at Sidmouth then give Jan Prettejohn a shout!

She's local.

She has helped me with confidence issues with my old boy, who wouldn't leave the yard and would threaten to rear if you asked him. Also was a blighter to load, but after Jan's help we got 10/10 in the horse agility trailer walk-through!!

More recently, she's helped me with my youngster (profile pic) and has helped me to bring her on. We did our first ever pleasure ride with Jan's help! She currently has my "project" mare at her yard. Have been there today in fact!

If you are on FB she goes under the name of "Jan S Equine Prettejohn". Or if you PM me then I can give you her contact details.

Jan is the sort of trainer who can work with you and your horse in a sympathetic way and she will support you and mentor you to achieve your goals.
