Haven't read all of the replies but nice men are out there, not necessarily horsey ones too!
I met my OH when I was 15, and now been together for 6 years. I must admit when we started going out I hid the horseyness from him until I knew he liked me, then he got a big shock a few weeks down the line. I don't have my own horse but I work with them and loan etc. He understands that horses come before him, as does my dog and cat! He comes down to the yard sometimes and helps me groom, I give him little jobs to do like water buckets etc. He doesn't like this very much but he likes to take photos of me riding and help me with jumps.
I have got him on a horse a few times which he doesn't mind. He comes to any shows to support me, and as do I with him as he plays guitar and plays at a few folk nights at pubs and local festivals so I make sure I give him the same support he gives me. We stuck together through going off to different universities on other sides of the country, and I try not to talk about horses too much to him and leave the horsey gossip for the girls at the yard!
I am looking to buy now and tbh I think he can't wait until I actually do, as he isn't hiding his frustration when I am on horsemart every 10 minutes!
