I bought 34 " T bars from eBay, I put them on the saddle last night and despite having exceedingly long legs myself, I cannot imagine they could fit anyone unless they are 8 foot tall. Could I have them on wrong somehow (I can't see how!). Is 34" a standard size for T bars? I haven't actually measured them to check that is the length but I will do that later, my normal stirrups are 54" I think.

On the listing it says they are adult length so it didn't occur to me they could be too long for my legs!:o

Hmm. Mine are 32inch ones, they're on the third hole, and I'm 5'5" with normal :p length legs? Although I do ride long - but on the third hole, I could have them a lot shorter if I wanted?

Are they the double t-bar (for treeless saddles with rings instead of stirrup bars) or the single (e.g. Wintec webber type?).

ETA - you made me go measure! I have two pairs - the double t-bar and the wintec webbers (single t and a loop at the top). I have both set to 24 inches from bar to stirrup. But... to get to this, the double bars which are 32 inches, are on the third hole, and the webbers - which are 28 inches (70cm) in total, are on the 6th hole. Confused much?

I had some Jeffries ones for my dressage saddle and originally bought the long length as I have very long legs and it's what I get in normal stirrups however they were incredibly long and I had to exchange them for the normal length.

I bought some Jeffries ones....had to get OH to drill some extra holes IIRC.

Thought it was just me being either a) thick or b) short:cool:

Thanks guys. They are the ones with the webbing loops and they are advertised as close contact jumping stirrups. They are more like western length for a abnormally tall rider!!!
