I've been looking at buying a T6 Cob gp or a K&M Cob. I really wanted a Falcon Hawk Event in XW but nobody seems to have one :(

Anyway, I've seen a T6 and also a Kent & Masters, the K&M is £150 more expensive and I'm wondering if there is any difference between the two (apart from the leather)? Has anyone ridden in both? Do they fit exactly the same? Is the T6 as comfy as the K&M? - comfiness is a big issue, ideally would like a saddle that is comfy enough that I don't have to use a seatsaver. Having a synthetic doesn't bother me, just don't want to be forking out the extra dosh just for the leather but if it fits differently or the seat is comfier, then I will go for it.

Also how do both saddles come up for size? Is the 17" sort of standard or does it come up small/big etc? Sorry bout all the questions :)

I haven't ridden in a K&M cob but a close friend has one and i have a T6. I love my T6 dearly and would rather stick with that than fork out extra to have the leather I think, they're both comfy so the practically is what swung it for me with the T6. As far as I understand they're built to the same tree (i THINK) so basically should be exactly the same other than the materials. I could be wrong but that was my understanding anyway! I would describe the seat size as realtively normal!

However I did get told that T6 have been discontinued and has been rpelaced wiht T8 which has leather seat and knee rolls. There are some really good T6s around second hand though and fully adjustable so if your saddler doesn't have any left you can always get a 'neatrly new' from somewhere and pay for the reflock.

I have a K&M cob, but to try for fit I rode in the T6.
They are both nice saddles, and have the same tree, but the K&M has a more padded seat than the T6.
If you're not fussed about it being leather, you'd probably be as well saving your money and going for the T6.
I do know someone who bought a faulty T8 (leather quality) but it was put right without a quibble.

I have a high-withered T6 but when getting it fitted - I tried out the Kent and Masters! I must prefer the T6, I didnt think the quality of leather in the K&M was worth it to be honest - the T6 is much more comfy! Each to their own of course :)

not cob version but i had the K&M jumping saddle and the T6 jumping saddle - i much prefer my T6, the seat is softer and and I dont feel as tipped forward or perched.
