Just wondered if anyone has this saddle. Had the fitter out yesterday & it fitted lovely so have ordered the leather/ synthetic version . I wondered if it was worth paying a bit more & getting the full leather version. I don't do anything fancy just schooling & hacking. I would appreciate opinions on this x

Isnt the K and M the full leather version? Used to be called the L8?

This.

I am an inflexible, die hard leather lover. But I got a T8 made for my ill-conformed TB with his high withers, short back and inability to grow topline (which was to do with an old injury of a broken ilial shaft, poor boy, so he has gone to play with the unicorns). I loved it so very much. I actually preferred it to the K&M because for some reason the twist on the K&M seemed much wider. I certainly felt a great deal safer in it compared with the K&M - important, I felt, when the TB would not have looked out of place at a rodeo show.

I have a dressage version for the new pony (when one actually passes the vetting) because they do adjust and can fit almost anything with a quick gullet change. I would never do this myself because I do feel the flocking needs to be looked at, too, but it's a very quick job for a Master Saddler. I am looking for a T8 jump saddle, too.

I've got the T8 and have been very happy with it. Nobody has ever spotted that it isn't full leather and when I've told them its not, they are always very surprised! Its great not worrying about it getting wet as well. And its lighter than leather. So overall, I've been very pleased with mine. The only thing that is less than perfect is that I could so with a bit more saddle flap and knee roll as I have quite long legs and it is a tiny bit small for me, but I'm 5'11 so a bit of a freak!
