Tablet wormers

Some will, some won't, you just have to try them to see if your horse/s will.

I've just tried the placebo on my fussy horse and he ate them greedily so I'm hoping he'll do the same with the real thing as I can't use the syringe on him...
If you ask your supplier they should have some placebo's you can try before you fork out on the real thing...

Thats helpful Honeypots - am guessing my little Madam will be in the turning her nose up category! Will see if I can get hold of any to try out first!

I was over the moon last autumn when we tried the equimax tabs on our two, as our TB mare is impossible to use a syringe on and has started leaving any food with wormers in it no matter what I put in to disguise it.

Our welshie gobbled his straight down no problems but K just sniffed at hers until I held several polos at a time in my hand with each tablet, a bit time consuming (not to mention slobbery!!) but she actually ate them yayyyy!

This spring however she won't even allow them near her mouth no matter what I do with them

so now I'm looking at a vet call out and going down the injection route again

However I did see (I think Your Horse mag) that there is another brand now doing tablets although I don't think they do tapeworm?
