tacing horses breeding

i brought a 2 year old believed to be a TB 3 months ago and want to know his breeding. he has a wetherbys general studbook passport. i know who his dam is her breeding is also unknown. Can i trace her history using her microchip number?

Have you tried the AllBreeds Pedigree website Soxy2010 ?
If you have a registered name (on the passport), it is likely you will find details of breeding there.

There is also a website called The Thoroughbred Database - you could type the name of his Dam in there and see what comes up.

This is the Dam she's called Quila and is a bay 2000 mare

and Sox (my boy) is a 2010 bay gelding
