What tack cleaners/saddle soaps do you all use for cleaning your tack. I use Renapur at the moment but sometimes I just want it that bit softer and shiny!

The yards where I have helped out or ridden use old fashioned saddle soap. On my stirrup leathers which I put on any horse I ride, I use effax leather balsam but only because they happened to sell it in Harrods in the days when Harrods had an equestrian department.

Have you tried buffing it the next day? I've never seen a full list of ingredients in Renapur, and many others, so I only use and recommend the one I trust, made by @cremedemonthe on here and you can indeed buff it the next day. Have a search on here, I've outlined my recommendations a lot and why many products aren't as good as you think.

I think I have some of this somewhere!!!!!

I use gold labels liquid glycerin saddle soap and then a balm if more is needed. I know people say that glycerin isn't great anymore but I much prefer it to other ones and think it does a good job so I stick with it. I've got bridles that are over 20 years old and still going strong so I figure it can't be doing it too much harm!

I’m lazy in that I usually use some sort of easy spray cleaner 🤣
Then use Lincolns superior leather balsam to condition. Comes up lovely!
