Morning All,

I was wondering if any of you could give me any tips on how to get a nice shine on an old bridle? I know lots of people like a matt finish but I think this one would look so much better if I can get a bit of shine on it.

Thankyou

I also use Ko Cho Line. Clean the tack thoroughly, apply the Ko Cho Line, leave overnight, then polish with a soft cloth the next day.

The polishing is very important! Especially if you are going to a show with your best cream jods on. It's bright pink, and 'the baboon' is not a good look.

Grand Prix Leather Gloss was rubbish, and from now on I've always stuck to Oakwood Leather Conditioner. I use it on all my tack, and my boots too and I always get a brilliant shine!

When I first tried the Grand Prix Leather gloss I wasn't particularly impressed, but after I oiled my 35yr old bridle and had another go it looks fantastic and the shine has so far lasted 3 weeks!:D

If you want a REAL shine... use a good quality boot polish!
I believe all the tack of the Kings Troop/Cavalry only has Kiwi boot polish on it and no tack is shinier than thiers!
