Just on knowing him would say black becauce of his points but would really like to see him with brown to see what it looks like and make informed decision then, helpful arnt I ? x

Personally I like brown tack on everything! but that's just my preference. Just been reading WFP's book and in the photos I notice Tamarillo wears black tack, and he is a very bright bay...

I have a bright bay & he's in brown tack & looks wonderful. I believe brown tack stays looking good for longer than black. Brown gets a deep lustre over the years & infact looks better. Black tends to grey a little IMO.

I'm a traditionalist and nothing beats the colour of London Tan when it has been cleaned/nourished properly, it goes a lovely nut colour which just improves as it gets older and looks good on any colour.
It's just preference, I don't like black at all, even on a black horse, it used to be known as the cheap option or dealer tack; some prejudices never fade!

I'm with MFH_09 on this one and like London Tan or the nearest you can get to it. Both my boys are bright bay and they look good in Whitaker bridles that almost match the colour of my Butet saddle. However my OH's dark bay hunter-turned-eventer looked horrid in anything except havana. Have you spotted I'm really anti-black tack....?
