Hi everyone,
I need you opinions! I recently got a new horse and he has just had an Ideal Impala Professional Jump saddle fitted in Havana/Brown and now I need tack for him since he's been making do with an old bridle which is falling apart! My favourite brands are Stübben, Equipe, Amerigo, Elevator & Passier.

He has big shoulders in front an therefore needs a form of breastplate (V-check/Hunting), Bridle, Stirrup leathers and Short stud girth all in Havana. I have a reasonable budget but unfortunately Kate Negus breastplates are a no go due to the price :(. The leather needs to be soft, long-lasting and clean up like new!

Thanks :)

I always thought made-to-measure was very expensive, I wouldn't know who to contact though and I picked them because I liked the individual products and I was hoping people could tell me what they thought of their quality! Do you know someone who could do made-to-measure?
Thanks :)

If your old bridle actually fits then that can be used as a pattern for a new one. I've used Lisa Holmes for some replacement bridle parts & the standard of her work is great (my wife used to be a bridle stitcher so she knows good quality work). I don't know how much she'd charge you for a bridle but it may be worth contacting her & seeing what she says. :)

My saddlers are fab, and Issi Russell who does all their bespoke bridlework is absolutely amazing. She makes all Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin's bridles, and does a fab job. Her bridles are totally bespoke and actually come up cheaper than most of the top brands.

Am in love with Issi Carsons Brown Patent Snaffle with Nickle Plated Clincher Browband just ditch the patent ;) I love Jefferies but the leathe looks really dark and though my Other boys Albion is dark enough for Jefferies bridles my Ideal isn't :( thanks though :)
