i mean really?! is there a noseband fairy?

I dont even remember getting some of the stuff i have, Im moving and turning up sooo much stuff!
maybe i should ebay a bunch of it...
theres 21 year old jeffries in hand bridle i'll never use again..but it was my horses first bridle so no, maybe not

I now have a very large cupboard full of nosebands, martingales and breastplates?! Ive never had a pony with a martingale, or a breastplate, and only crank nosebands, so I have no idea where they all came from!

My bit collection seems to be increasing day by day as does my stirrup collection?! I seem to have about 15 neck straps aswell?! Ive never used a neck strap?! I think the tack fairy has been using my cupboard to store all of her spare tack

I'm always selling stuff on ebay as I seem to collect soooo Much, in fact I am having an eBay listing session today whilst I am watching Badminton!

The problem I have is I sell loads of stuff, make some money and then go and buy more horsey things that I really don't need

oh, bits! ive got a bagful! and i only use a pelham for showing or french link snaffles, so WHY have I got a bagful of 'various'?!

happily ive found a nice 'antique' drop noseband thats never been used and im going to see if it fits one of the mares later on

Bits - I could start my own bit bank - 'inherited' a whole load from some one who was giving up and after she had sold off most of her stuff I had all the stuff left over - she always bought good quality stuff so couldn't see it thrown away!!

In fact because of that I also have a large collection of numnahs/saddle cloths and how many sets of stirrup irons does one person need......boots, bandages........

i bought a job lot of stirrup leathers and theyre all still bundled up as they came, i use one pair of leathers and my flexi-stirrups on whatever saddle im using, all my old irons are in a box


i have NO boots or bandages though, grrr, as my dryer broke and a friend said she'd dry them for me after a big spring clean wash...then LOST one of the bags, with all my boots etc in, at least £200 down, whoops, sorry!

I too have loads of stuff! I discovered a spanking newmarket blanket in the shed the other day, a jute rug and a tatty new zealand rug too.

Browbands, I seem to have millions, all pony sized, girths and even some stuff that has never been out of the packaging

Ha - at last I am not the only one!! My husband thinks I am obsessed and if he knew how much stuff I buy my gorgeous boy he may well have grounds for divorce!!!!

(although i got caught out doing that last week - not tack, new top for me - I did the 'this old thing' routine, but i still had the little plastic label tab thing sticking out of the shoulder...oops!)
 
ha - things come in the post - I smuggle them into the car and smuggle them out at the yard and into the tack room - on the odd occassions when OH is there while I'm tacking up its 'oh that'll be new then is it??' come on ladies everyone needs at least 8 saddlecloths in a variety of colours several pairs of reins and over reach boots - but hey at least I am down to just the 2 saddles at the moment = 1 english and 1 western!! I like to think of my horse as being fully equipped/loaded - I wouldn't drive my car if it was a basic model I like to have the extras!!!

1 old never be used again GP (but these 3 dont REALLY count i suppose)

1 show saddle (which doesnt fit anybody now, but i used it to break in an anglo last year as it was the only one that fitted)

and ive been looking at those adjustable wintec ones on equestrain clearance, really, i need to be stopped!

but most of the stuff technically belongs to one horse ive had since i was a kid, its being shared out now ive 'collected' some more horses
