tack insurance help!

Hi

I am really struggling to find tack insurance for my tack left at the yard.

Horse insurance is done by his owner and I have my own rider insurance, however I leave my tack (including hat rugs etc) at her yard (private property not livery).

Up until now I have had the one saddle insured under my rider insurance with NFU but it is REALLY expensive (they only do new for old so insured for it's full new value).

I was hoping when my house insurance came up for renewal I would be able to add it as a job lot under 'sporting goods' or 'possessions away from the home'. Unfortunately none of the companies seem interested (tried esure, m&s, sheilas wheels so far) as it is kept permanently away from the home rather than temporarily!

Can anyone help/recommend a company who covers what I need?

I can't comment on individual tack cover, but when changing insurance companies last month from NFU, I had real trouble finding a company who would insure tack in a tackroom on my horse's policy. In the end I went for SEIB.

Would your tack be covered under the owner's house insurance? My tack is covered by our house insurance as we keep the horses at home.

Thanks, am mixing those g&t's! Will try nfu and have asked before but don't want to make her insurance higher, may ask again if can't get anywhere but would rather do it independently if poss
