No - I checked and it's covered by my household insurance fortunately.

Yes, the horses are at home too. As long as the tack room is locked, the house insurance covers it. It's like fort knox getting into it but I would just die if anyone ever broke in. There are a lot of years worth of collecting in that there tack room. I can't bear to get rid of anything cos you never know when you might need that ...............

yes its just built into my horse insurance policies, 2 saddles and bridles for Beau, 2 for Lance.

You have seen our container though, anything less secure than that and NFU or Petplan wouldnt cover loss.

yes its covered under both petplan and houshold insurance.

If its at a yard, you will need to check the cover carefully. A lot of insurance companies wont cover it if there are more than 4 horses at the yard.

Also if at a yard you insurance company might specify certain levels of security eg. 5 lever mortice locks etc.

My home insurance covers my tack under personal items.I think our policy covers up to £1000 per item.I can keep the tack at the yard as long as it is locked.The company didnt even charge any more money I asked them to list it on my policy so I had it in writing.My horse insurance wont cover me which seems ridiculous .You could find you are covered without even realising worth a phone call to your home ins co.
