So at my new yard there is no commual tackroom and all down to individuals.

So what do people use? Unlikely that I will leave my Dressage saddle (that will go back and forth in the car) but my two Wintecs I will probably store at the yard.

Currently a toss up between a Metal feed bin that i can lock, or there is a cheap (under £100) tack locker on ebay at the moment!

Or other ideas???!!!

A friend built an mdf locker..floor to ceiling practically equipped with padlock to contain all tack and kit..ive used the plastic garden seat type boxes (sold in the big DIY sheds) and added locks to those.

Ive just bought an Animate custom tack locker, and super happy with it, its great! I went for a tall and wide version with only one saddle rack but had 2 shelves put in. Lockable and rat free!

I bought one of those cages they store calor gas in, I got a large one but you can get smaller ones, I paid £50 for mine delivered. It has double doors at the front which you can padlock shut. Mine is also bolted to a wall with saddle racks attached to the wall through the mesh. However it came with shelves so if you wanted it mobile you could still keep stuff in it. I found a load on ebay when I was looking, although I ended up buying one from my local tack shop, because he had a spare he was trying to get rid of. the only problem i found was stuff falling through the top on to the tack. this was solved by laying some hardboard over the top. Much cheaper then a tack locker. you could line the inside with hard board if you want to hide what you have in there.

I've had a 2 saddle rack tack locker from Animate and I can only concur. Great product, really good price and a really easy company to deal with.

Yes thanks all
The eBay link is the one I am looking at, think I will measure up and work out some costs and go from there
Thanks all
