I am thinking of buying a Tack Pack but having never actually seen one and I am going to have to buy on line I wonder if anyone has used one before and can give me some feedback. It looks wonderful but my main concern is how easy is it to lug around. I want to be able to have this at the side of the ring and be able to leave it all locked up. So no mad rush back to the lorry when we forget something. But is looks a big large, how easy is it to move around? It is the Tack Pack half way down this page: http://equineplus.co.uk/tack-storage.html
Thanks

Not sure about carrying around but I have heard of people damaging saddles in them as the bigger saddles don't fit properly into them.

Yep, agree with nato. My 17 inch saddles, not particularly forward cut, just didn't fit in them.

They are easy enough to move around but you wouldn't want to leave one unattended, as they would also be pretty easy to steal!

I had the Ifor Williams one, the one in the link looks a better shape, but still easy to steal.

You've gotta laugh, they can't even get the saddles in straight in the sale pic!!!!

I've got an IW one. (It hadn't occurred to me to put saddles in that way either I put them the other way!). You will not fit two 17.5" saddles in it, I could put my daughters small saddle in with mine but even that is a complete faff. The bridles will fall off the hooks/get caught in the door.

Moving it about it's ok on hard ground but long grassy surfaces think about towing your wheely bin around full of concrete blocks.

Lastly someone could just walk off with it with the tack inside anyway.

Got mine with my trailer. Have never used it; it wouldn't hold everything so I just put everything in the boot. Also not convinced about trying to secure a large heavy object - what if I crash?! Don't want that sort of thing complicating life and moving around or becoming untied!

I have a Stubbs saddle mate - brilliant to put in the back of the car, bridle and girth lie over it, and grooming kit and bits and bobs fit underneath.
