Just putting the feelers out, I am thinking of offering tack parties at home (like Body Shop), not sure if it's a good or bad idea, anyone heard of anything like this and what do you think of the idea? any thoughts/opinions appreciated. thanks in advance.. :)

I've never been to any of these sales type of parties, but on a practical level, surely the size and amount of kit potentially involved in a tack party would be restrictive.....with a body shop party, the products are small?

That's what I thought too. Think of lugging all that stuff around, in and out of the car. What do you do with things left over?

I'd suggest tack parties at yards/riding clubs might work better.

Or ones in tack shops even better still!! Like an open evening with cheese and wine on offer.

If you're representing a particular product or line could you organise this kind of thing with a tack shop? You get to promote your product but the rest of the shop is open so everyone benefits, and it would be worth travelling to the shop for, particularly if there were promotions.
