Had this emailed me today. Might be of interest to some of you with 16hh horses +

sale of many top quality well maintained items of tack and rugs being donated by a dressage yard which is closing down, the proceeds of which will go to the RSPCA equine re-homing centre in Godalming. The sale will take place on Saturday 20th November at Boxhill Village Hall, Boxhill Road, Tadworth from 3.00 to 6.00 pm. Rugs, saddles and many other items will be sold but payment must be by cash or credit card. Horse clothing is suitable for horses 16 hands plus.

Hmm.

Interesting post because I'm local to Godalming and I'm afraid that I've never heard of an RSPCA equine rehoming centre here. Hope that this is not a scam. And why hold the sale in Tadworth, which is some way away and therefore doesn't benefit a 'local' cause??

I wonder but I have been looking for a sale for a while - has anyone else heard of this?

Ella, so you believe this is all second hand tack they are selling ? it isn't far from me, so I might drive over.

Does seem a strange venue ? But it could be raising for lockwood donkey/horse sanctuary, isnt that in Godalming ? And I think the RSPCA run that now don't they ?
